二氧化碳是人类生活和生产排放的大量气体，是造成全球溫室效應和氣候變暖的主要因素。本書介紹二氧化碳的氣態、液態、固態(乾冰)、超臨界状态及其水合物性質、利用等現狀和研究新進展，例如科學家把二氧化碳轉為燃料的反向燃燒技術；同时也羅列出許多有待於急需解決的二氧化碳利用技術的難點。還介紹了與人類生態環境和現代國際貿易密切相關的圍繞二氧化碳的所謂“碳捕獲和存儲”、“碳中和”、“碳市場”等基本概念。

Carbon dioxide is a large amount of gas emitted by human life and production, and it is the main factor causing the global greenhouse effect and climate warming. This book introduces the current status and new research progress of carbon dioxide in gaseous, liquid, solid (dry ice), supercritical state and its hydrate properties and utilization，for example, scientists use reverse combustion technology to convert carbon dioxide into fuel; At the same time, it also lists many difficulties of CO2 utilization technology that need to be solved urgently. It also introduces the basic concepts of carbon capture and storage, carbon neutralization and carbon market, which are closely related to human ecological environment and modern international trade.

贺淹才，博士，曾在德国留学，国立华侨大学（厦门）化工学院教授，现在已经退休。
